  1. Now this is what I want on my computer a full 3d desktop, I want to test this software, but is it easy yo install or do you need to be uber-human todo it?

  2. It’s not that hard to install from source as long as your hardware supports it. To make things even easier, I’ve heard that Ubuntu’s next version (7.10) shall have Compiz-Fusion as its default compositing window manager.

    Even now, quite a lot of distributions (Ubuntu, Fedora, SuSE) come with Beryl or Compiz packages. You can try out any of them (preferably Ubuntu if you’re new to Linux) to get these effects.
